ConText Editorial Services is a freelance business established in 1998. Nancy Sixsmith, editor and owner, spent the prior eight years in various in-house editorial positions: copyeditor, development editor, production editor, and managing editor.

Over the years, ConText Editorial Services has worked with a diverse clientele, including publishers, small businesses, large corporations, nonprofits, universities and other academic institutions, and government entities, among others.

We have been successful in cultivating long-term relationships with clients, which enable us to reach a deeper understanding of their needs and the particular types of publishing they do. We strive to develop close client relationships with a high degree of trust while maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude with prompt responsiveness and flexibility.

We offer a keen analytical eye, an awareness of what is needed to produce professional documents, and an extensive track record of carrying projects to completion on deadline. Our rates are reasonable and vary with the type of work required for the project. We will work with you on deadlines and billing methods (whether per page, per hour, a project rate, or other).
